From 10 to 14 March 2024, the National Youth Foundation (FNT) organised a training course on „Transparency in County Youth Foundations”, organised within the project „Revitalising the Youth Sector in Romania”.

This training was designed for staff and volunteers of county youth foundations to provide them with the necessary information to improve the transparency of their organisations and to have a more effective internal and external communication.

Topics covered in the „Transparency in County Youth Foundations” training

  • What transparency means in the context of county youth foundations and how it is influenced by community perception and trust;
  • Development and implementation of procedures to ensure a high degree of transparency, including annual reporting on activities and financial execution;
  • What are the communication tools, from traditional to digital, and how to use them effectively to reach target audiences;
  • How to use the website and social media

In this training we were able to bring more visibility to county foundations and support them with essential and important information.

The project was carried out by the Timis County Youth Foundation in partnership with the National Youth Foundation, PONT Group and Newschool and was funded with 249,970 euros through the Active Citizens Fund Romania programme, funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through EEA Grants 2014-2021.
